This walking stick was hand carved in our shop from a contorted aspen branch. Mingo has been a man of the mountains for as long as he can remember, and is a little shy and distrusting. He is a peaceful man, just a little to himself.
The aspen branch was harvested dead standing in the Okanogan Highlands of Washington State. It was whittled dry and treated with food grade oil and beeswax after carving. The grip and lanyard are constructed of hemp marline twine, which is impregnated with genuine Stockholm pine tar. Mingo has a rubber cane tip, and is very trail worthy. 68" in overall length, with a diameter of approximately 1 1/4". Center of grip height is 49". Sturdy and very light in weight for its size.
A great character for on the trail or cabin decor.
