Contorted Besom Broom - Western Hazel - One Only - Free Shipping

This rustic besom is crafted onto a nice contorted western hazel branch with a playful character. The branch has an interesting serpentine shape, and the bark is a warm, earthy brown.

The besom is approximately 65" in overall length, with a very full 6" diameter sweep. The broomstick diameter is approximately 1" on average. The sweep is stitched round with natural linen twine. The handle is sanded very smooth and treated with food grade beeswax wood sealer. The sweep is bound and woven tightly, never to loosen or unravel. Great for sweeping, and will look at home in a rustic cottage.

In our small workshop in the Pacific Northwest, we weave them one at a time. Every broom is unique, and designed to last for many years.
