We peeled the handle of this rustic kitchen broom and really brought out some unique character. The bark was removed using a traditional shave horse and draw knife, leaving the whittled facets which look nice and give an improved grip for sweeping. Woven tightly and built on a sustainably harvest alder handle, this broom is made to last for many years.
Ready to ship. You will recieve this very broom.
This broom in 58" in length, and the broomcorn sweep is 10" wide. The sweep is tightly stitched with two rows of linen twine. We use food safe wood wax to seal the handle and protect the wood. The broom was given an linen loop, so you can hang and enjoy it when not in use.
This broom sweeps nicely, left or right, and is so slender and balanced. It is sure to please in the cabin kitchen or tiny home. Perfect size for kitchen or around the house!
We have a strong passion for brooms - creating them, learning about them, and using them. Each handmade broom we offer is built by hand using 1800's methods borrowed from the Shakers. In our small workshop in the Pacific Northwest, we weave them one at a time. Every broom is unique, and designed to last for many years. Our ambition is to offer brooms of the finest craftsmanship -- and give each one our personal guarantee of quality.
Our best wishes
